Weekly Classes: all classes are 60 minutes unless stated otherwise
Slow & Strengthening Yoga with Terri: In this class we will focus on the various strengthening principles of the physical body including core work, upper and lower body work. Please note that these teachings will be facilitated in a gentle, slow and peaceful manner. This class is similar to that of a gentle strengthening class, slow flow vin/yin, yin/yang and detox and will incorporate numerous pranayama techniques. All levels of practice are welcomed and we will work together to modify according to individual need.
Soft & Surrendering Yoga with Terri: This will be a gentle based class, including the use of props such as blankets, pillows, straps and blocks. We will focus on subtle stretching and calming practices to develop awareness of the body and nervous systems. Multiple pranayama techniques will be incorporated throughout these teachings. This class is suitable for all levels of practitioners.
Restorative Yoga with Terri~ 75 Minutes : Pamper yourself! Learn to relax, breath and walk away refreshed and ready for anything. This practice will help you to relax the physical body, energetic body, sooth the mind and soften the stressors of your week. Students will hold poses for several minutes to encourage deep relaxation with use of blankets, bolsters and hands on adjustments with oils. All levels welcome.
Meditation with Terri ~ 30 Minutes : Reduce your stress, increase your awareness, and sleep more peacefully. Through instruction, sound and guidance, you will learn to sit quietly, comfortable and find stillness focusing on your breath and learning mindfulness.
Yoga Nidra with Terri ~ 45 Minutes: Yoga Nidra is a guided 45 minute meditation that takes place while you are tucked in comfortably for a 45 minute meditation that leaves you feeling like you’ve experienced a 4 hour nap.
Ashtanga Led Primary Series with Shelley ~90 minutes: Practice the full Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga with traditional Sanskrit count. THIS CLASS IS FOR EXPERIENCED ASHTANGA PRACTITIONERS ONLY; no verbal explanation is given so you must be familiar with the series and able to practice along with the count. Practitioners are expected to know how to modify postures as needed to practice safely in their own bodies, and those who have not yet completed full primary may stop anytime after Navasana. If you do not understand these requirements or are in doubt about whether this class is suitable for you, please email shelley@yogafoodlife.com to discuss prior to attending. Ashtanga for Everyone with Shelley: Practice a modified (short form) version of Ashtanga Yoga with a slower pace and focus on the foundations of practice. We’ll explore deep breathing, developing bandhas, maintaining drishti, and finding alignment for your unique body in the postures. This class is appropriate for beginners to Ashtanga Yoga, experienced practitioners who wish to slow down or rebuild a practice with greater attention to detail, and for general yoga practitioners of all levels to experience a powerful and traditional yoga practice. Please note, Ashtanga is a dynamic VINYASA yoga practice which means we will be flowing through postures, linking movement with breath, and heating the body with our deep breathing and physical effort. Each class includes sun salutations, standing postures, seated postures, a closing sequence and savasana. Modifications will be offered to accommodate a wide range of individuals and the same selection of postures will be repeated in each class for a month so we have the opportunity to gain familiarity and develop skill. With consistent practice, Ashtanga Yoga is deeply transformative and healing for body and mind.
Candlelight Yin and Reiki with Shelley: Slow down, soften, and nourish your body and mind as we shift into stillness with this peaceful and deeply healing evening practice. A selection of gentle yin yoga postures and soft stretches will be practiced with long holds and quiet space to sink in. Distanced reiki healing energy will be sent to practitioners throughout the class. A limited number of bolsters, blocks and blankets are available in the studio, or you may bring your own items from home to support yourself comfortably. Please enter and exit the studio quietly to maintain a peaceful and deeply relaxing space for this practice.

Guided Group Meditation: A 30-minute guided meditation for all levels from never meditated before to those with an established daily practice. This meditation has been developed based on scientific studies on how to repeatedly produce coherent heart and brain wave states. When the heart and brain are in a state of coherence, they are in a state of homeostasis and the autonomic nervous system is in balance. This state of being has the result of sending coherent organized information to all the systems with in the body allowing for true rest and repair. A coherent brain produces coherent thoughts, coherent thoughts produce coherent actions, and coherent actions create coherent patterns in your live leading to a self-produced coherent destiny.
Kundalini Yoga with Jessica: Kundalini Yoga is a dynamic, powerful tool that is designed to give you an experience of your energetic body. It is a path for everyone who wants the skills to thrive with the challenges of our times. This technology precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, movement and meditation, to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous and immune system, expand lung capacity, and detoxify the blood. It brings balance to the physical, emotional and energetic body. Kundalini Yoga is for everyone. Students focus within themselves, listening to their own bodies and working to the best of their ability.
Radiant Body Yoga with Jessica: Feel Restored and Radiant in your body, mind and spirit. Radiant Body Yoga is a holistic approach to yoga, which has its roots in the ancient Kundalini and Tantric traditions. These practices are designed to awaken each practitioner to their higher nature. They offer a potent combination of physical posture, breath work, kriya, meditation, and chanting. They increase strength, build vitality and create mental clarity. This class will serve the practitioner at every level of experience. For the beginner it provides a complete picture and powerful pathway to personal development. For the seasoned practitioner it offers an advanced users manual for the mind body system.
Slow Flow & Let Go Yoga with Janice: Nourish and de-stress body and mind in this slow to moderate-paced class where we will mindfully move and breathe through a series of floor and standing yoga postures and sequences. Class starts slow and gentle to ready the mind, muscles and joints and release tension. We then move to more active and toning sequences at a pace in which you can honor pose alignment and energetics, your breath, and your own body's abilities. Modifications are offered and welcomed. Closing will include cooling postures and relaxation. Some yoga experience is suggested but not required. Let's come together to connect and grow in awareness, energy and wellness!
Yoga for Inner Peace & Healing with Janice: Are you feeling like your body and mind need a little time out, a little me time to slow down, de-stress, relax and re-set? If so, this class is meant for you. Yoga for Inner Peace & Healing is a time for self-care for the physical body as well as for the energetic, emotional and spiritual aspects of our being. Elements of this class may include pranayama (breath practices), gentle movement, stretching and restorative poses. Class will conclude with 15-30 minutes of deeply relaxing guided meditation or yoga nidra. Close your weekend by stepping into your calm center of peace, preparing you for a restful night of sleep and a renewed vitality for the week ahead. No yoga experience is necessary; beginners are welcome!

Candlelit Singing Bowls: It always feels like an honor to have these very old bowls, carrying so much supportive energy for our bodies and the world, enter into this studio space. Eva has a special relationship with each of her singing bowls and it’s always fascinating to hear her talk about them and then play them. This collection of antique bowls handmade by Tibetan monks, were used for centuries for healing and meditation. Eva creates an improvised, vibrational soundscape that is heard, as well as felt, awakening the body’s internal wisdom for healing, releasing stress, & relaxing deeply.
The Wild Woman Circle: Step into a powerful gathering of women at each new moon. We'll create a sacred space for our circle, explore an inspiring theme, drop deeply inward through guided meditation and visualization, and receive the wisdom and guidance of our own inner voices. Each Wild Woman Circle includes: - A theme based on new moon astrology - A guided meditation and visualization - Quiet time for reflection and journaling - A heart-centered sharing circle - An intention-setting ritual - Tea and chocolate Please bring your own journal and pen to capture your experience and dress in comfortable layered clothes. The studio is usually warm but windows will be open for fresh air. You might like your own yoga mat, blanket or pillow to sit on, or we have some available in the studio. Plan on approximately 2 hours for each Wild Woman Circle. The Wild Woman Circle is offered on a sliding scale of $25--$40. Please pre-register; this event is limited to ten participants.
